  • National Reconciliation Week: Be a Voice for Generations - The theme of 2023's National Reconciliation Week is: “Be a Voice for Generations". One of our dedicated Diversity & Inclusion Committee members, Liam, is doing this by sharing stories to help educate us on the impact of learning and sharing your family history. “My name is Liam, and I am proudly from the Wiradjuri tribe near Parkes, NSW. My great-grandmother was born a Wiradjuri woman in 1882. She was taken from her family as a child and placed into an assimilation camp. Growing up, she was not to ask questions about the Wiradjuri people and culture, nor was she ever taught their ways. As a result, much of our family history and connection to Indigenous Australia has been lost.
