Star Group powers towards a more sustainable future by reducing its carbon footprint.
Since installing our Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System at our head office in Condell Park in 2020, we have noticed the significant impact we have made from committing to ecological sustainability through renewable energy.
We have seen the following:
- Our energy consumption has reduced by approximately one-third (375MWh), of which 260MWh is as a result of PV energy being utilised,
- The system exported approximately 57MWh to the grid,
- The maximum peak demand reduced from 155.84kVA in 2018 to 124.34kVA last year and
- The system generates over 320MWh of clean power in total, equivalent to over 275 tonnes of carbon offset.
