History of the Star Group
The Star Electrical Company was established by John Andrews in 1956. From the start Star Electrical has been involved with large commercial electrical works. In the 1960s a service division was formed to service end-users, building owners and client relationships that were developed during the construction of the building.
In the late 1990s data cabling was usually sub-contracted to non-electrical contractors. Commstar Communications was formed to service this market along with Star Electrical.
In the last few years Star Electrical has continued with large electrical works with major builders and Commstar Communications focuses on data cabling for Star Electrical and electrical/data work for builders, fit-out companies, facilities management and Fortune 500 Companies.
